Our season runs from September to May, when the summer rush fades and surfing sets the rhythm of the days in El Palmar again.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eYour Surfcamp starts before you arrive\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eAbout a week before the camp, we create the WhatsApp group, learn about your experience and surf level and share the programme. By then \u003cstrong\u003ewe have already been following the forecast for days and studying swell, period, wind and tides\u003c\/strong\u003e to find the most suitable times for the sessions and organise groups by level.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen you arrive, the Surfcamp is already prepared. On the first evening we get to know each other, present the programme and look at the surf forecast together so you understand why we have chosen each time. \u003cstrong\u003eThe programme is organised in advance, although the sea always has the final say\u003c\/strong\u003e and we can make adjustments if conditions require it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf you want a simple reading before you come, check \u003ca href=\"\/en-eu\/pages\/habra-olas-el-palmar\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWill there be waves in El Palmar?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e: we translate swell, period, wind and tide into a 7-day reading according to your level.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eForecasts change; the Surfcamp does not depend on one forecast\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWe do not cancel a Surfcamp solely because the forecast shows wind or unfavourable conditions.\u003c\/strong\u003e Models can change right up to the last moment and the actual conditions can end up being better, worse or simply different from what was predicted. We follow the evolution and adapt times, surf area and programme order to make use of the best windows that actually develop.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf actual conditions ultimately prevent an included surf lesson from being run safely and we also cannot move it to another time within the Surfcamp, \u003cstrong\u003eyou do not lose that lesson: it remains pending for 12 months\u003c\/strong\u003e. We review the footage so you can see what is difficult to feel from inside the wave, use Surfskate to repeat movements that need practice and, when conditions allow, go back into the water together for a \u003cstrong\u003eSurf Libre session\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThat Surf Libre session is not another lesson. There is no pressure to get it right and no constant stream of corrections: it is a chance to try what you have worked on, share waves, laugh and surf for the enjoyment of it. The order changes with the tide and the conditions: here, the timetable adapts to the surf, not the other way around.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe also put a lot of effort into bringing the group together. If you come \u003cstrong\u003eon your own\u003c\/strong\u003e, you do not arrive at a house where everyone simply does their own thing. We share breakfasts, sessions, analysis and much of the day; that shared time makes it easy for the group to connect naturally.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor meals or dinners that are not included, we usually cook together at the house or go out somewhere nearby.
