Flysurf, our softboards for learning and progressing in El Palmar

Choosing the right board can completely change the experience of learning to surf. It is not simply about having more volume or a bigger board: each person needs a board that helps at the stage of learning they are in.

After using them in the water with students of different levels, Carving Social Club has chosen Flysurf as our softboard brand. We are very happy with the decision.

A range for different levels

One of the things we like most about working with Flysurf is having different sizes and constructions rather than putting everyone on the same type of board.

We currently have Flysurf softboards in 6'6", 7'2", 7'6" and 8'2" in the standard construction.

We also use Wide models in 7'2" and 7'6", especially for people who are starting and need even more stability, flotation and ease when catching waves.

For students who are progressing and want a different response, we also have 7'6" and 8'2" epoxy-reinforced models.

This lets us choose the board according to each person's level, size, experience and stage of learning instead of using one size for everyone.

A board for learning, but also for continuing to progress

A softboard does not have to be only a board for your first day.

As you start catching more waves, improving your take off, finding the face more consistently and becoming more independent, your choice of board can evolve with you.

That is why we like having several sizes and formats within the same brand: we can change board when it makes sense without rushing the move to a more difficult board simply because you have already had a few lessons.

The best way to understand how a board feels is not to read a specification sheet. It is to surf it.

You can try our Flysurf boards in El Palmar during our Surfcamps, in one of our surf lessons or through equipment rental if you are already independent enough to surf safely on your own.

During lessons and Surfcamps we can also help you choose the size that makes most sense for your level and explain why one board may be working better for you than another.

If it is your first time surfing, the right option is to begin with a lesson, where both equipment and instructor support are included.
