The Back to the Future Square Skateboard We Tried at Carving
We are very happy with this gift sent to us by the guys from Emil Boards from Munich.
Their square board was born from a very particular idea: to bring to skateboarding the image of that scene from Back to the Future in which Marty McFly rips off the box of a scooter and ends up sliding on a small board with wheels.
After trying it, we can say that, in addition to attracting a lot of attention, it is very easy to ride and offers very different sensations to the boards we usually use.
The model they sent us is called Doc Brown, in homage to the famous character from the movie.
But what excited us the most was discovering an unexpected detail: they hand-engraved the name Carving Social Club on our board.

This Sunday we will bring it to our meetup so that all of you who come can try it.
We love discovering projects like these: small, different, and created by people who come from skateboarding and surfing and are eager to experiment.

Emil Boards no longer exists, but this board is still part of a very curious stage of Carving's early years.
