For us, a holiday Surfcamp is not about filling several days with activities. It's about having time to surf, rest, better understand what you're doing, and get back in the water with a clear idea to try out.
We organize these adult Surfcamps in El Palmar, whether you've never surfed before or already have experience. Before you arrive, we get to know each person's level, prepare the groups, and monitor conditions so that the program makes sense from the first session.
Andalusia Day, Easter, and other holidays for surfing in El Palmar
Andalusia Day is one of the first opportunities of the year to have several consecutive days and take advantage of the surf season in El Palmar. In 2027, we celebrate it from February 26 to March 1, with four days and three nights to combine surf sessions with video analysis, surfskate, and time to go back into the water on your own when conditions allow.
A few weeks later comes our Easter Surfcamp in El Palmar. It's one of the longest dates of the season and allows us more days to surf and build on what we've worked on between sessions. In 2027, it will take place from March 24 to 28.
During the rest of the season, we also have editions for Puente del Pilar, All Saints' Day, and New Year's Eve. Each Surfcamp has its own duration and program, which you'll find detailed on each date's page.
The December long weekend has a more technical focus and is dedicated to our Technical Surfcamp with Miguel Rodríguez, designed for people who already surf independently and want to work in a more specific way. The rest of the Surfcamps are open to all levels.
The ocean doesn't run on a fixed schedule
A week before, we create a WhatsApp group, ask about your experience, and share an initial schedule. By then, we've already been tracking the swell, period, wind, and tides for days to find the best moments that suit each group's level.
On the first night, we explain the program and review the forecast together. This way, you're not just following a schedule: you start to understand why we enter at a certain time and what conditions we expect to find. If the ocean changes, we adapt the plan.
Each session helps you make the most of the next one
While you're surfing, it's not always easy to know what you're actually doing. You might feel like you're flexing, looking in the right direction, or positioning your body well, only to discover something different when you see yourself from an outside perspective.
We use video analysis to turn those sensations into something you can see and understand. Then, surfskate allows us to work on some movements on land before getting back in the water. The goal isn't to give you a list of mistakes, but to help you identify what you can work on in the next session.
There are also sessions where no one corrects you
When conditions are right, instructors and participants go back into the water together, especially at sunset. This time, there are no exercises or corrections: we find the spot on the beach that best suits the group and simply share the session.
After having worked during the lessons, these sessions allow you to set aside the analysis, share waves, and remember why you started surfing.
We don't turn your days off into a busy agenda
The program is prepared, but we don't want to occupy every hour. Having several days also allows for time to rest at the Surfhouse, visit Vejer, Los Caños de Meca, or Conil, and go out to eat at some of our favorite spots. Some plans are decided with the group based on conditions and what everyone feels like doing.
Accommodation is at our Surfhouse in El Palmar, which becomes the meeting point between sessions. In the morning, we prepare breakfast for guests, and during the camp, we share barbecues. For other meals, we usually go out together in El Palmar and the surrounding areas.
You can come alone without knowing anyone
It's very common. Many people book without having a group. On the first night, we do an activity to get to know each other, and then surfing, living together at the Surfhouse, meals, and shared days make integration feel natural.
If you come with friends, our 4x3 promotion means that when four people book, one spot is free. You can check the conditions and other benefits on our Surfcamp promotions page.
If none of these dates work for you, check out our Weekend Surfcamps or compare all the Surfcamps of the season.
You can also experience El Palmar for a full week: several days of surfing to gain consistency, share the Surfhouse, and have time to practice what you've learned. The first date for the One-Week Surfcamp will be from February 7 to 13, 2027, and you can pre-register without payment.
