There are things about surfing that are understood differently when you can share them with someone who has been living it professionally for years. In our Celebrity Surfcamps, we invite professional surfers to El Palmar to spend a few days around surfing, share sessions, and bring their experience in and out of the water closer to the group.
It's not about coming to watch someone else surf. The idea is to have the guest surfer close, to be able to ask them questions, to hear how they interpret the ocean, and to discover what lies behind decisions that often seem automatic from the outside.
These editions are for adults, with small groups and a different program depending on the invited surfer.
Closer to what you normally see from the outside
A competition, a video, or a photograph shows the result. Here, we are also interested in everything that happens before: how they read a wave, where they decide to position themselves, what they observe before entering, how they approach a session, or what they have learned after years of surfing.
During the Surfcamp, we combine water sessions with moments to converse, ask questions, and learn directly from the guest. Each surfer offers a different perspective, and precisely there lies much of the value of these editions.
Surfers who have visited Carving
In different editions, we have had the opportunity to share the Surfcamp with surfers such as:
- Ariane Ochoa: professional surfer with a long competitive career and experience on the international circuit.
- Dani Aznar: surfer with extensive experience in competition and training, with a perspective closely linked to technique and performance in the water.
The guests change from one edition to another, so each Celebrity Surfcamp has its own personality.
Sharing the water also changes the way you learn
During the sessions, you can observe up close how they position themselves, what they look at before catching a wave, and how they interpret each situation in the water. Afterwards, there's time to discuss the session, ask questions, and apply some of that experience to your own surfing.
We also use common Carving tools, such as video analysis or surfskate, when they help to better understand something that has happened during the sessions. But the protagonist of these editions is the direct interaction with the guest surfer.
What happens out of the water
Much of what is interesting appears when the session ends. Conversations in the Surfhouse, a more relaxed chat, group questions, or listening to experiences of travel, competition, and years in surfing allow you to get to know a side that usually doesn't appear in videos.
If you choose the option with accommodation, you will stay in our Surfhouse in El Palmar, which during the Surfcamp becomes the group's meeting point between sessions and activities.
No two editions are ever exactly alike
The content changes according to the invited surfer. Their career, their surfing style, and what makes the most sense to share with the group are all part of each edition's program.
That's why we publish the dates and the guest when we close each new Celebrity Surfcamp. Places are limited to maintain a close-knit format and ensure there's truly time to share with the invited professional.
If you want to know who will participate in the next edition or check availability, write to us using the WhatsApp button on the website and we'll tell you.
You can also pay for your reservation in 3 interest-free installments with Klarna at checkout.

After booking
Approximately one week before the Surfcamp, we create the WhatsApp group. We ask you about your experience in the water, share the program for the edition, and start organizing groups by level.
In the days leading up to it, we monitor the wave forecast, swell period, wind, and tides to choose the best times and surf spots that fit the conditions.
The program may be adjusted if the sea changes or if an activity needs to be adapted, but by the time you arrive at El Palmar, a good part of the weekend is already prepared.
