New Surf Training season at Carving Social Club in Madrid!

We have already started a new season of our Specific Surf Physical Preparation with great enthusiasm, motivation, and several new features.

After the success of the first season at Forus Chamartín and the great demand from students, we have added new slots to the ones we already had.

In addition, this season we are also opening at Forus Caja Mágica, which allows us to bring training closer to surfers in the southern part of Madrid.

Surf Training Madrid at Forus Chamartín

Training for surfing without being near the sea

In our Surf Training in Madrid, we work on aspects directly related to surfing, such as paddling, standing up, and breath control to better manage breath-holding.

We also develop important abilities for surfing such as balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.

We divide the training between pool water sessions and dry land work in the gym, aiming for everything trained to have a real application when we return to the sea.

One of the most rewarding things is seeing how students gain confidence and arrive at their next surf trips better prepared.

Much more than an hour of training

Another part we love is the atmosphere generated in the sessions.

These are groups of people who share the same passion for surfing and train together to keep improving even if they are far from the sea.

And, as has happened so many times at Carving, these groups also start to form friendships, plans, and new trips to surf.

New coaches and new exercises

This season we also welcome Manuel Alcol, a graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, a surf coach, and a skateboarding enthusiast.

Along with our Sports Director, Rubén Cortés, he will be one of those responsible for continuing to develop the training and prepare our students for their next surf sessions.

We are also incorporating new materials and designing exercises that we will introduce during the season.

If you live in Madrid and want to keep working on your surfing even if you can't get in the water every week, this new season is full of opportunities to do so.

Update: currently our regular activity takes place in El Palmar. You can learn about our Surfcamps in El Palmar and how we continue to combine surfing, technique, and off-water work.

See you training. Keep Carving!
