Collection: Surfcamps for Adults in El Palmar

Surfcamps in El Palmar, Cádiz, for adults who want to learn, progress and spend a few days living around surfing. At Carving Social Club we organise different surf camp formats in El Palmar: weekends, one-week camps, long weekends and holidays, surf coaching camps and special editions.

You can join if you have never surfed before or if you already have experience and want to keep progressing. You do not need to come with anyone: coming solo is very common and many people arrive without knowing the rest of the group. Our season runs from September to May, when the summer rush fades and surfing sets the rhythm of the days in El Palmar again.

Your Surfcamp starts before you arrive

About a week before the camp, we create the WhatsApp group, learn about your experience and surf level and share the programme. By then we have already been following the forecast for days and studying swell, period, wind and tides to find the most suitable times for the sessions and organise groups by level.

When you arrive, the Surfcamp is already prepared. On the first evening we get to know each other, present the programme and look at the surf forecast together so you understand why we have chosen each time. The programme is organised in advance, although the sea always has the final say and we can make adjustments if conditions require it.

If you want a simple reading before you come, check Will there be waves in El Palmar?: we translate swell, period, wind and tide into a 7-day reading according to your level.

Forecasts change; the Surfcamp does not depend on one forecast

We do not cancel a Surfcamp solely because the forecast shows wind or unfavourable conditions. Models can change right up to the last moment and the actual conditions can end up being better, worse or simply different from what was predicted. We follow the evolution and adapt times, surf area and programme order to make use of the best windows that actually develop.

If actual conditions ultimately prevent an included surf lesson from being run safely and we also cannot move it to another time within the Surfcamp, you do not lose that lesson: it remains pending for 12 months. You can use it later as a standalone surf lesson or apply its fixed value to a future Surfcamp, subject to advance booking and availability. It is personal and cannot be exchanged for cash. See the full terms in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Learning in and out of the water

We separate groups by level so the sessions can be adapted to where you are now. You can join if you have never surfed, if you are still learning in the whitewater or if you already catch waves independently and want to keep progressing.

Learning continues outside the sea. All our Surfcamps include video analysis and Surfskate: we use video and images to help you see and understand what happens on your waves, and Surfskate to work on land on movements that you can later take back into the water.

Surf Libre with the group

Alongside the lessons, when conditions allow, we go back into the water together for Surf Libre: coaches and participants share the session without the pressure or structure of a lesson.

It is a chance to apply what we worked on in the lesson, video analysis and Surfskate, but also to stop thinking so much about technique, share waves and have a good time together. These sessions often happen during the last hours of daylight and can become one of those special camp moments that cannot really be scheduled.

We look for the part of the beach that best fits the conditions and the group's level and, whenever possible, somewhere with more space and fewer people in the water.

A Surfhouse built around surfing

Accommodation is included and during those days our Surfhouse in El Palmar becomes the group's meeting point. In the morning we prepare breakfast for guests and, between sessions, it is the place to return to rest, talk about the waves or simply spend time together.

We also often go out as a group to eat at some of our favourite places in El Palmar and nearby. Saturday's barbecue is included and often becomes one of those moments when everyone ends up around the table after a day of surfing.

Coming with friends?

On our Weekend Surfcamps, Long Weekend & Holiday Surfcamps and Surf Coaching Camps, the 4-for-3 promotion means that when four people book together, one place is free. We also have early-booking promotions and benefits for people who come back to surf with us. You can check all the conditions on our Promotions page.

The One-Week Surfcamp works differently: it has its own price scale for groups of 2 to 9 people, already reflected when you choose the number of participants. The general 5%, 10% and 4-for-3 scale does not apply to it.

If there are more than four of you on another Surfcamp format, message us before booking to check availability and a special group price.

Which Surfcamp in El Palmar should you choose?

If you are comparing formats, take a look at the Weekend Surfcamp, our Long Weekend & Holiday Surfcamps or the Surf Coaching Camp if you already surf independently and want to work on your surfing more specifically.

If you are looking for that technical work but not necessarily a Surfcamp, you can also compare the Surf Coaching Session, Online Surf Coaching and Intensive Surf Coaching in our Surf Coaching collection.

If you are not sure which one fits you best, message us using the WhatsApp button on the website and tell us your level, the dates you have available and what you would like to work on. We will help you choose the format that makes the most sense for you.

A week to get into the rhythm of surfing

The One-Week Surfcamp in El Palmar is designed for surfing several days in a row, building confidence in the water and sharing life in our Surfhouse. You can come solo and pre-register without paying; we confirm the camp when a minimum group of four people is reached.
